Using an e-gate card in Dubai

e-gateAre you going on holiday soon and want to avoid the queues at the airport? Then perhaps you should invest in an e-gate card, with 2-year validity.
E-gate cards are especially good when arriving back into Dubai to avoid the long queues at immigration. Residents of the UAE over the age of 17 can get an e- gate card which works in all Terminals or added on the Emirates National Identity Card, however this only seems to work at Terminal 3 when travelling with Emirates Airlines. The fee for this is Dhs 200.

New eGate card holder’s need to apply in person
Original passport (with at least 6 month’s validity)
You must be either a UAE citizen or an expatriate holding a resident visa
Passport photograph
 
Renewal fees for two years will also be Dhs 200. You can get an e-gate card at the following locations. Dubai airport is a very quick and easy location.
