Dubai residents and visitors will soon be able to make traffic fines payments at police patrol cars using their credit cards, in addition to having the option to split the fine amount in instalments with 0% interest.
According to Colonel Khalid Al Razouki, Director of E-Services Department in Dubai Police, traffic patrol cars of the emirate’s police will soon be equipped with credit card readers, which will make it easier for traffic offenders to pay their fines ‘on-the-go’.
The agreement signed by Dubai Police and Emirates NBD also launched a 0% instalment plan that enables credit card customers to pay traffic fines in interest-free instalments from three months to a year.
“Today, we are reaping the benefits of this partnership by launching yet another service to residents which is in keeping with the government’s initiative, delivered under the guidance of our wise leadership, to transform Dubai into a Smart City,” said Colonel Al Razouki.
“The instalment plan for traffic fine payments is a part of the service provided by Dubai Police for customers which allows them to choose the most appropriate way to complete transactions at their convenience,” he added.
Fines Payments can also be made in any traffic department, police station, Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) offices, and through self-service points such as Dubai Police website, kiosks and Emirates NBD Bank.
