The UAE announces November 30 as a public holiday to mark the sacrifice of those who have died for the UAE in the line of duty.
President HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has named November 30 as Martyrs’ Day and made it a national occasion across the UAE.
Martyrs’ Day will be marked annually, recognising ‘the sacrifices, loyalty and dedication of Emirati martyrs who have given their life in the field of civil, military and humanitarian service for the sake of the UAE,” said the statement.
